Heh, maybe new vision of fics ?
Maybe should be written on t-shirts what all can be improved on fics and from second side which unpleasant problems it makes until its not solved. But I am not sure that such fics-to-do t-shirts can be produced in size less than XXXXXL 
Or maybe i could one buy and add print on it by some nice font "Go to internet chess hell"
Good advertise can be add:
"Server with most banned user accounts. Try it also!"
But i think simply add:
"Help clear it of stupity."
maybe could help start some changes. |

Maybe most new users can ba catched on this:

Because who dont wish have rating 3000 ?
But maybe can be add some picture mixing fast car with mouse and text:

FICS: Ask for be banned immediatelly after registration, this will prevent You be banned from stupid reasons.

FICS: Place where bughouse simul is rating abuse especially when simuling player winning. Because its abusing of opponents.

on fics forum maybe ?
But i am not the type that think demonstrating is way for making something better.
Well best way could be to start some new server.
But this requires to be such server code opened and atleast 5 peoples for small bug server to maintain it. |

FICS : the old mysterious server about which newbies asking how to log in. Try this adventure to get inside !
PS. based on yesterday experience with one newbie which playing otb bughouse with us and some with his young friends, which didnt know that drop check is allowed and i suppose he using web based free email like many students in my country, because this emails have big services and credibility here for free. I didnt solved it, i told him: forget about fics. But i suppose that maybe all free emails are restricted for login into fics, counted together with fact that some places dont supporting telnet, this is very mazy for newbies to recognize why this or that things dont work, in the moment the level and quantity of problems user have to solve and recognize is too big for him (like going to place where telnet is and there it dont work again because of he using free email) he stopping log inside and only something about mysterious fics will kept in his memory. Maybe i should delete all links to fics from my website to protect newbies from have bad feelings with bughouse. With OTB no bad feelings are. I will think about it. Better is if newbie will spent time by looking on commented games, read rules and dont lose time by trying get into mysterious fics where hard to login ... |

he designated his life to convincing everyone at fics how stupid they are. Really if i came to the conclusion that the whole server, the software, the admins, the programmer and the buggers as well as the variants are awful and suck, would i put my whole day into hanging around at bugboard and writing 30 articles mostly talking to myself?
