The
Bug Board Guidelines
Welcome to the
Bug Board! This is a public online forum mainly designed for all
internet chess enthusiasts, more specifically, bughouse chess enthusiasts.
However, anyone may read, post or reply on it. Those who are completely
new to chess and/or bughouse are encouraged to do so!
Please note that the Bug Board Moderator(s)
reserve the right to move, edit or delete posts if necessary.
| Please follow
these simple guidelines:
|
 |
Threats are not allowed
anywhere on Bug Board.
Posts
which contain malicious threats (e.g. threats of violence, stalking,
expressing desire to hurt someone, etc.) will be deleted without
warning.
|
|
|
Personal attacks and flames are not
permitted.
Short unsubstantiated posts like
" Bobby Fischer is a weenie" are strongly discouraged
(no matter how true it might be :). Please, tell us WHY you think
what you think.
Example:
Statements
such as Gary Kasparov is a piece of sh** and sucks donkey doo
are unacceptable. However, you can make a post such as:
World
Champion Paul Morphy is very unsportsmanlike. He was mated
in one on my board and refused to abort when I lagged for 2
hours because he didn't want to lose 2 rating points on FICS.
He then proceeded to cuss me out. Something needs to be
done with such abusers. Any suggestions?
The post above is acceptable.
One of the goals of the Bug Board is to promote and encourage
discussions on various topics such as internet chess server policies,
bughouse playing ettiquette, etc. However, this
forum is not designed for flame wars.
If you're interested in flame wars,
go to the Free
for All Flames & Rages Forum section of the Bug Board.
That forum has its own separate set of guidelines.
